About Landmark Consultants
Practical structural and geotechnical engineering for residential, commercial and industrial projects across New Zealand.
Engineering Solutions Built Around the Project
Landmark Consultants is a structural and geotechnical engineering consultancy supporting homeowners, architects, builders, developers and commercial property owners.
We provide practical engineering advice for new buildings, renovations, extensions, structural assessments, seismic projects, foundation design and construction monitoring. Our role is to help clients understand the engineering requirements of their project and move forward with a clear and buildable solution.
Every project has different structural, ground and construction considerations. We review the available information, identify the relevant risks and develop an engineering response suited to the building, site and intended use.

A Practical Engineering Approach
Good engineering should provide more than calculations. It should give the client, architect and builder a clear path from the initial concept through to construction.
Our approach focuses on structural safety, regulatory requirements, buildability and cost. We aim to identify issues early, explain the available options and prepare documentation that can be understood and used by the people delivering the project.
Depending on the scope, our involvement may include an initial review, a site inspection, engineering calculations, structural drawings, reporting, consent documentation and construction monitoring.

How We Approach Our Work
Principles that guide our engineering and client service.
Practical Thinking
We consider how a design will be built, how it will interact with the existing structure and how the proposed solution supports the wider project.
Technical Responsibility
We assess the available information, identify relevant structural risks and prepare engineering work appropriate to the scope and requirements of the project.
Clear Communication
We aim to explain engineering requirements clearly and provide documentation that can be understood by clients, architects, builders and other project participants.
